More Orleans on the way this Spring!

HOUSTON (October 6, 2021)–Orleans Seafood Kitchen– a long-established Katy dining destination will launch its second location in Fulshear, TX in northwest Fort Bend County, the Spring of 2022 at 6230 FM 1463.The family-friendly Cajun restaurant is owned and operated by Houstonians Chance Comstock and Marcus Payavla, who opened their Katy location in 2008.

Comstock and Payavla met in 1993 while working in a Houston restaurant. They spent the next fifteen years simultaneously learning the restaurant trade from the inside and plotting their dream endeavor – a Cajun restaurant of their very own. At Orleans Seafood Kitchen they give their customers the complete Louisiana experience – from the authentic Cajun-style dishes on their menu (some of which come from Payavla’s great-Grandmother’s recipes) to the feeling you get the minute you walk through the door with their Big Easy-inspired décor.

The Fulshear restaurant will feature the same menu items as the Katy location including customer favorites Seafood Gumbo, Etoufée, Po-Boys, Char-Grilled Oysters, and Boiled Crawfish when in season. All menu items are original, family recipes from Comstock and Payavla.

While the food menu will remain the same, the Fulshear bar menu will expand its offerings to appeal to the neighborhood demographic including local craft beers and a more robust spirits selection. One thing that will definitely stay on the menu are Orleans’ famous frozen drinks that are delicious all year long, but especially popular during Houston’s stifling Summers.

“This has been such an exciting project to take on, and one that we’ve been considering for some time,” Comstock says. “When we opened in Katy over 13 years ago a second location wasn’t necessarily in the plan, but as we continued to grow over the years and really got to know our customers and what they liked and didn’t like, it became not a matter of ‘if’ we would open another location, but ‘when’.” Payavla adds, “we spent a lot of time looking at different neighborhoods, but there was something about this location in Fulshear and this amazing community that made us feel at home – so now it’s officially our second home!”

Comstock and Payavla are working with Houston-based Batsche Design and designer Dawn Arcieri on the 5,418 sq. ft. restaurant and 1,385 sq. ft. patio. The restaurant will seat 118 in the dining room, 58 in the full-service bar and 48 on the patio. Multiple televisions will be situated throughout the bar and patio-area broadcasting your favorite college and professional sports. The Orleans team worked with Chris Reyes and Tyler Trevino at SHOP Companies to facilitate the lease of their second location.

Like their Katy location, the Fulshear location will be set-up in a counter order format with a full-service bar and patio
